Studying in Rome is particularly recommended for students with one or more areas of interest in these fields:
- Ecumenism and denominational studies
- Church History and History of Christianity
- Biblical exegesis
- Roman Catholic theology
- World church dimension of Christianity
The following ‘rules’ and instructions apply to the actual implementation of the programme:
– All students are enrolled at the FVT, and additionally at pontifical universities according to choice and specialisation.
– ECTS points are awarded for academic achievements; it is realistic to expect that between 40 and 60 points can be earned in a Roman year.
– The Facoltà Valdese issues a certification at the end of the programme, which lists the academic achievements (with ECTS points).
– ECTS points are also awarded for the Centro Melantone’s own programme.
– As a rule, students aim to obtain a degree from their home university or church. These institutions remain responsible for recognising academic achievements. The Centro Melantone or the FVT can make academically justified recommendations.
– Exemplary curricula of possible study programmes that have proven successful in the past can be requested from the Director of Studies.
